Is asbestos dangerous if I leave it alone?
Asbestos is mainly a hazard when it's damaged or disturbed and fibers get into the air. That's why it should be removed by a licensed contractor before a remodel or demolition.
Can I remove asbestos myself?
We don't recommend it. Removal releases fibers unless it's done with the right containment, protective equipment and disposal. A licensed contractor handles it safely and legally.
