24/7 Water Damage Restoration
Burst pipe, failed water heater, sump pump failure or a flooded basement after a storm? Call (605) 624-2485 any time, day or night. The first hours matter most: the sooner the water is out, the less flooring, drywall and furniture has to be replaced. Louie's has handled water damage across southeast South Dakota since 1966.

Water Extraction & Structural Drying
We extract standing water with professional equipment and remove wet carpet, pad and drywall when they can't be saved. Then we set air movers and dehumidifiers to dry the structure itself. We measure moisture in floors, walls and cabinets and keep drying until the readings are back to normal, not just until it looks dry.
Wet Material Removal
Our team can take those wet and filthy materials out of your home or business. Let us deal with the smell and the removal of the materials. We can tear out almost any material at any height, from drywall up to 15 feet in the air to carpet, pad, vinyl flooring, asbestos tile, and asbestos tile wrap on pipes.
Mold Prevention & Remediation
Mold can start growing within 72 hours of materials getting wet, so fast drying is the best prevention. If mold has already started, we contain the area, remove affected materials and clean what can be saved. We also offer mold and indoor air quality testing so you know exactly what you're dealing with.
Sewage Backups
A sewage backup is a biohazard. We extract the water, remove contaminated materials, then disinfect and dry the area. See biohazard cleanup.
Records for Your Insurance Claim
Most homeowners policies cover sudden water damage like burst pipes and appliance leaks. We record moisture readings and photos throughout the drying process, so you have clear documentation from the first visit to the last. We serve Vermillion, Yankton, Sioux Falls, Sioux City, Elk Point, Beresford, Canton, Brandon and the towns in between.

Water Damage Questions
What should I do while I wait for you to arrive?
If it's safe, shut off the water at the main valve and turn off power to wet areas at the breaker. Move furniture, rugs and valuables off wet floors, and don't use a household vacuum on standing water. Then call us at (605) 624-2485.
Does homeowners insurance cover water damage?
Most policies cover sudden, accidental water damage, like a burst pipe or a failed water heater. Slow leaks and outside flooding often aren't covered, so check your policy. We record moisture readings and photos throughout the job and can work directly with your adjuster.
How long does it take to dry out a house?
Most homes are dry in three to five days with commercial air movers and dehumidifiers. We check moisture levels every day and only remove our equipment once the readings are back to normal.
Will mold grow after water damage?
It can. Mold can start growing within 24 to 72 hours of materials getting wet, which is why fast extraction and drying matter so much. If mold has already started, we contain the area, remove what can't be saved and clean the rest.
Do you really answer at night and on weekends?
